FAQ

Find out more about BINGO!

Who is Bingo! aimed at?

It is for young children who are just starting to build the foundations in English. It is also for kids who have yet to develop basic reading and listening skills in English, despite having been taught at school, and need an extra boost.

How can kindergarten children understand Bingo! when they don’t know how to read?

Bingo! is made for children to comprehend English through the combination of listening to the recording and recognising the graphics. We believe we are the first in providing a weekly publication that favours images and graphics rather than relies on text.

Do children need an adult to help them read Bingo!?

It helps to have an adult beside them, but Bingo! is designed for children to learn how to read and listen to English on their own and to learn the language independently.

Does the Ting Pen come with a subscription to Bingo!

We have two subscription plans: a Bingo! subscription without the pen (for readers who already have the device), and another subscription plan that allows you to purchase the Ting Pen at a discounted price.

How do I get the audio recordings onto the Ting Pen?

Connect the pen to a computer (Windows PC) with an internet connection and download the files to the device. Go to the  Download page for step-by-step instructions on downloading audio files.

How many issues do I get in a year's subscription?

There are 40 issues published in one academic year.

What type of English accent can be heard on the audio recordings?

The voice talents are British native speakers. Go to Ting Pen Demo to hear the voices on the pen.
